SmartSwim

Swimming is the best exercise for your dog. It is non-weight bearing so the conditioning will be easy on the dog’s joints. Each swim is interactive, since we have a staff member in the pool with your dog.

Add an extra rotation to your dog’s daycare activities. A staff member will be in the pool with your dog to see that your dog gets the maximum exercise.

Competition Obedience Classes

This formal obedience class teaches skills needed to compete in Novice and Open obedience using positive reinforcement methods. Distractions during show like ring procedures are used as dogs perfect a skill. Step by step instruction to achieve the necessary skills for titles is given. Run-thrus are held at All Dog Adventures from September to June.

 

Tricks Classes

Tricks classes teach how to train your dog for enjoyment at home, TV advertisements, print ads, or therapy visits. Dogs who have learned at All Dog Adventures have done ads including Juvenile Diabetes tv ad, Southern States dog food TV ad, Village Bank TV ad and print ads. Jody, Cindy Briggs' golden retriever, is currently the Village Bank mascot visiting all the banks, performing for First Friday Retail Merchants event. Many of the dogs from All Dog have been on the cover of calendars, breed specific magazines, and local ads. Besides all of that, tricks are just fun to learn.

Doga

Yoga and dogs are a great combination. This is just fun and relaxing. Stretching and breathing with your dog is great for relaxation, conditioning, and bonding. Older dogs sometimes get left out of family activity though the young dogs are welcome, too, older dogs enjoy the massage and socialization at Doga class.

Rally

Rally classes are great way to continue training basic commands in a fun environment. This game furthers attention, heeling, stays and more. Following signs that tell the handler what to do in sequence of numbers, the dog needs to pay attention while the handler makes way around the course. From Beginner, just learning the signs and game, to competition or just fun, it's all offered in this class. Both styles of Rally are taught APDT and AKC by Rhea McCaffery who is a judge for both.

 

Canine Good Citizen and Therapy Dog, Inc

These classes prepare dogs for the tests of AKC and TDI for therapy visits, insurance, and good reference for apartment dwelling. The tests are given regularly. STAR puppy test is given to start puppies on the path of being a good citizen. Several of the instructors at All Dog Adventures are certified evaluators for the tests.

 

Flyball

All  Dog Adventures is the host to the Flyball team K-9 Kamikazes. The team practices most Friday evenings from 8:00 to 9:00pm. IF you are interested in flyball classes contact John Nelson at j.johnnelson@comcast.net  For more information on fly ball go to Fly Ball Dogs website

Beginner Flyball Class - Friday from 7:00 pm to 8:00pm

Beginner Flyball class is for dogs and handlers with no previous flyball experience but have participated in basic dog training. Flyball offers fast paced action with plenty of excitement for you and your dog. Whether for fun or for competition, it is a good way to spend quality time with your pet. Flyball racing matches 2 teams of 4 dogs, racing side by side over a 51 foot long course. EAch dog must run in relay fashion down the small jumps, trigger a flyball box releasing the ball, retrieve the ball, and return over the jumps passing the next dog in the relay. The team whose 4 dogs finish the course withour errors wins the heat.

Flyball Practice - Friday 8:00pm to 9:00pm

Practice prepares your dog for competition. You and your dog learn to run with the team of 3 other dogs, improving the box turn, different positions, passing, multiple lanes and distractions. The goal is to learn to complete a clean run with your dog in a tournament.
